Taking back your most precious resource, time.

For the most part, we all have daily commutes in our lives, whether its to work, to school, to a client, to the store, to anywhere. Whatever your commute time is, whether its 15 minutes or 1 hour, you have an opportunity to make the most of that time and use it wisely.

“We all have 24 hours in a day, its how we use it that matters and is what separates us”.

I spend about 2 1/2 hours in my car; at minimum, everyday Monday-Friday. I imagine like most people, I use it as a time to reflect, to think, to talk to myself (yeah, that doesn’t make me crazy lol), to make phones calls (hands free of course) and my favorite, to self educate.

For the past couple of months, I find myself passing the time listening to some of my favorite PodCasts, YouTube How-To and Instructional Videos and Audible books, with a daily goal to learn a new skill, listen to an expert on a subject matter I am interested in learning how to grow my business. There are tons of great content out there that will feed the mind rather than entertain the soul. Makes sense right. No-one needs to know what you listen to in the privacy of your car or your headphones walking down the street. Try it.

It’s important to recognize that time is so valuable, there is never enough of it and it goes too fast. Be smart and use every opportunity you have to get ahead, to work towards your dreams and aspirations. Every minute counts, literally.

Below I will list some of my favorite Blogs and YouTube Subscriptions. Please share any of yours in the comments below, would love to find some new inspiration.

Why is Twitter Still Relevant to Musicians

The new rules of Social Media say that you should only focus on a few platforms, be great at three, rather than be mediocre everywhere, makes sense right? So why does Twitter seem to stay on that top list of three for most musicians?

Twitter lets musicians do three things they can’t do on other social platforms.

If you are active on Twitter, you know that timing and consistency is the name of the game. Last check, Twitter reports; as of the first quarter of 2018, the micro-blogging service averaged at 336 million monthly active users. ~ www.statista.com. Now that’s a-lot of active users to keep up with and nearly impossible to reach, but the good news is if you’re consistent and efficient you’ll reach a percentage of them, well at least try too.

Linked below is a great post by our friend @ChrisRobley of CDBaby DIY Musicians Blog on the subject. Check it out!
